Meet José – Your Spanish Teacher, Mentor, and Biggest Cheerleader 

Hello everyone!

¡Hola! I’m José—and I’m so happy you’re here.

For over 20 years, I’ve been helping people around the world learn Spanish in a way that’s practical, personal, and full of joy. But more than just grammar rules or vocabulary lists, I believe language is about connection: with others, with culture, and with yourself.

I’ve taught in classrooms, online platforms, and summer programs across Europe and America. I’ve worked with absolute beginners, seasoned linguists, shy students, and bold adventurers. No matter where you’re starting from, my mission is simple: to help you live Spanish—not just study it.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe learning should feel natural and alive. That’s why my classes are immersive, relaxed, and tailored to your pace and personality. You’ll speak from day one, laugh often, and walk away from each session not only more confident in Spanish—but also more connected to yourself and others.

Whether we’re practicing conversation, exploring Spanish culture, or diving into the language of love, my goal is to make your learning journey feel like an experience, not a chore.

An Inclusive, Celebratory Space 

As a proud gay man, I know how important it is to feel safe, seen, and celebrated in your learning environment. My teaching space is one of warmth and inclusion—where LGBTQ+ learners (and everyone else!) can feel completely at ease and free to express themselves.

This is a space where we celebrate diversity, build community, and lift each other up—through laughter, language, and shared curiosity.

Why I Do This

Because I’ve seen again and again how powerful it is when someone finds their voice in a new language. It changes how you travel, how you date, how you make friends, how you feel about yourself.

Spanish has opened so many doors in my life—and I’m here to help open those doors for you too.
